Cincinnati chili.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 c water
- 2 T cornstarch
- 2 14.5 oz cans Swanson beef broth
- 1 6 oz can tomato paste
- 1 T white vinegar
- 1 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground coriander
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
- 4 tsp chili powder
Preparation
Brown ground beef over med heat. Use potato masher to mash ground beef into very small pieces (rice size).
Dissolve cornstarch in water than add to beef. Add remaining ingredients to beef. Boil then simmer until thick, about 1 hour.
Makes 5 cups.
