This bread is delicious. Great for sandwiches since it holds together well. This is a 1 1/2 pound loaf.
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 1/2 tsp table salt
- 2 T sugar
- 2 T vegetable oil or butter
- 2 3/4 cups bread flour
- 1/4 cup wheat flour
- 2 T oatmeal
- 1 pkg yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
Directions
Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature. Milk and water should be 80 degrees.
Put ingredients into bread machine. They are listed in the order you should put them in the machine. Use basic cycle.
When finished baking, take out and put on wire rack to cool. Let cool an hour before cutting open or else it will be doughy.
Notes
I like to whisk together the bread flour, wheat flour, and oatmeal to insure
proper blending.
